About your presence
Attendance at all the tutored sessions or meetings is obviously mandatory and will be part of your evaluation.
In case of justified absence, organize with your classmates to get class information and material that you have missed.
About sharing or collaboration
The makers' lab is a place dedicated to knowledge sharing. Our courses are too! Peer learning is an integral part of our pedagogy. BUT, sharing knowledge, explaining concepts or processes does not mean doing the same work together.
TO BE CLEAR, you can work together to help you overcome your sticking points, you can't make a similar (or nearly similar) work!
Know the difference between helping each other and copy/paste !
About rules compliance
Rules breaking on the entire course or "just" on an assignment will result in a fail of the course - a final grade of 0/20.
Here is a list of what we will commonly understand by rules breaking for this course:
-
Plagiarism is prohibited.
Any copy and paste without a clearly cited source - author's name and links to the resource - will be considered cheating and result in a fail of the course and a final grade of 0/20.
→ If you are in this case, please clearly specify in your assignment the parts that you authored so that we can evaluate your personal work.
→ Any assignment flagged as individual work, is only evaluable on the original work of which you are the author. -
Deleting the history of your work is forbidden.
When you make an assignment on a third party platform, we have access to the history of your changes. Without this history, we cannot evaluate your work. Intentionally deleting the history of all or part of an assignment will result in a fail of the course and a final grade of 0/20.
→ When producing work on a third party platform, you must be logged in with your personal account from the very beginning! -
Working in someone else's place is definitely prohibited.
Completing an exercise for someone else OR returning work done by someone else OR a very similar work result in a fail of the course and a final grade of 0/20.
About evaluation
- All evaluations of this course are made by members of the makers' lab team.
-
Participation and time spent on the course is part of the evaluation.
→For your convenience, according to the European standards, 1ECTS = 25h. - Our courses consist of 50% individual evaluation and 50% collective individualized evaluation with bonuses/malus. Having less than 8/20 on either of these two kind of evaluation will result in a fail of the course.
